Hey everyone, I'm Ramona from Gambette Cosplay, turning 26 on May 10th and born and raised in the Netherlands.
I was taught to make costumes by my grandmother on an early age, though back then, I made tiny little dresses for my barbie dolls. Later on, she helped me make my first 'real' costumes, but fell ill with lung cancer right after we had finished our last project and passed away soon after. It took me quite some time to pick up costuming again, as I'd lost my most important coach, but eventually, it made me want to challenge myself all the more.
Daenerys has been my favorite ASOIAF character from the get-go, but her outfits are thirteen-in-a-dozen when it comes to cosplay nowadays. However, since I hadn't seen anyone cosplay her House of the Undying outfit with the armor at the time I started, I decided to make it, even though I'd never before worked with leather.
On top of that, I knew I was going to take this costume to a large convention, so I trained my horse for it. All and all, it took me a good year of preparation for this event.
